Collector is running on my iPhone
The first physical-phone build exposed what the controls still needed.
Today I got Collector running on my iPhone in the new Godot build. The controls respond, and the same build now carries movement, jumping, attack, guard, throw, and the Back Counter. Vit’s slash artwork is also attached to the sword instead of the temporary generated trail I tested first.
The first pass felt wrong. The buttons were too small, movement was much too fast, and an upward diagonal didn’t read naturally as a jump. I enlarged the joystick and attack buttons, slowed phone movement, made upward-dominant diagonals jump, and returned the phone build to the normal fight spacing instead of a special counter setup.
This gets us closer to the bigger goal: Collector feeling like a competitive fighting game on phone and desktop, with the same combat rules underneath both. This is still a local build. I need more hands-on time with multitouch, frame pacing, heat, and actual matches before I trust the feel.
The image is a desktop preview of the updated touch layout and Vit’s authored slash. I still need a proper phone gameplay clip.
